My symptoms started two years ago, one at a time. The second symptom I experienced was low blood pressure. It had declined to 90/50 from my normal average of 120/70. I recently started having attacks every other day. During the last attack my blood pressure had soared to 160/90. My neurosurgeon works for the surgeon general, so I trust his medical advice. I have a previous diagnosis of hypo-tension (before my meniere&#39;s diagonsis) but my surgeon has denied this has anything to do with meniere&#39;s. Though I was concerned, every doctor I&#39;ve seen does not believe my BP is low enough to start a course of treatment for it. I will get roaring tinnitus, BP 160/100, ear fullness, dizziness. When the menieres is bad - lots of vertigo - my blood pressure is sky high. I don&#39;t know if the high blood pressure causes the vertigo attacks or if the Menieres causes the high blood pressure. I said I had something she had probably never heard of, Meniere&#39;s Disease. I have faithfully monitored mine for twelve years now, and have found absolutely no correlation. Whenever I&#39;ve had it checked I&#39;ve always had relatively low blood pressure, which generally doesn&#39;t seem to be regarded as a problem in the way that high blood pressure is. However, looking into it, many of the symptoms are similar to Meniere&#39;s and I&#39;m wondering whether sometimes when I&#39;m feeling rough it&#39;s my blood pressure rather than the disease; I&#39;ve had long stretches of feeling bad but with no attacks. Or maybe the Meniere&#39;s is magnified by blood pressure problems, in the same way that other issues - tiredness, stress and so on - seem to seek out the weakness of our condition.<br /><br />Anyway, I&#39;ve ordered a blood pressure monitor from Amazon and will be checking myself out very regularly to look for correlations.Jeffnoreply@blogger.com
